Hillhead Equestrian Centre was first established over 35 years ago when the dairy farm was converted into a livery yard by Mr & Mrs Haynes Snr. The riding school soon followed after the indoor arena was built in the winter of 1982.

Since then lessons have run continually, as well as unaffiliated showjumping, fun days for clients and, more recently, our pony proficiency days.

At present the day to day running is carried out by Mr Haynes Jnr (better known as Tom) with the help of our full time instructor, Sharon Stace.

The family have all enjoyed participating in competitions, starting with riding club and progressing to British Showjumping events.

Tom and son Ryan have both enjoyed success at national level, competing at Horse of the Year Show and winning classes at Hickstead.
